Jet Lag + Crooked + Still in Montreal

Can’t lie. I am crooked as sin, I’ve been like it since my flight got cancelled again yesterday, and I can’t shake it for the life of me.

I’m blaming the jet lag. I cannot describe how excruciating it is.

Couldn’t keep my eyes open by 4pm, so I thought I’d have a nap for an hour. Slept through my alarm by a half hour, and I feel like when you wake up for a flight at 3am, and it’s the middle of the night, and all you want to do is sleep for another ten years.

Last night I made it to six pm before Chelsea and Jon watched me almost fall asleep in my supper. With any luck, I’ll be straightened out in a few days. I’m doing the whole “Be active and drink water and expose yourself to sunlight” thing. I really hope it kicks in soon!

Why are you still in Montreal you ask? Oh. Well. Newfoundland got over 50cm of snow last night. The winds were gusting over 100km/hr. It persisted with another 15 cm overnight. Needless to say, my flight last night was totally cancelled, after being delayed three hours. Thanks Air Canada. They’re also too cheap to add an extra flight, so I got the pleasure of being stuck for not just one more night but two more nights. All the flights for today were fully booked.

Fingers are crossed I will finally finally finally get home to my own bed by noon tomorrow. I’m supposed to leave here on the 0825 flight.

I spent most of the day as antisocial study ball, with the exception of my exploration to Subway for lunch. I realized I was smack dab in the middle of an industrial park after venturing downtown yesterday, so I thought there must be somewhere for the people who work in the industrial park to get lunch! Sure enough, there was a Subway like a 15 minute walk away. It was the freshest Subway I’ve had in a long time! So good!

There was also this unknown woodland creature on the front lawn of Subway. Dad thinks it’s a woodchuck? It was pretty cute the way it was eating the grass!

I’m gonna go get some supper now I spose! For the record, I did have a nice little post half prepared for you before my flight got cancelled last night. But I was too much of a disaster after a long series of terrible interactions to finish it 😦

If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all, especially to the Internet, lol.

Goodnight all!

Sarah
